The development of technology nowadays has increase, because of that, every people don’t very often go to the traditional market, they prefer go to modern market, in other condition that’s because in modern market they feel more comfortable and more enjoy in shopping, they don’t need to jostling, and go around the whole traditional market just to find what they needs. In modern market, people will more easily find the things that they want to buy. But sometimes the supermarket especially the cashier was very busy with the customer, because not many customer buy few things, sometimes the cashier feel confuse with the money and the product that they sell.
In this time almost every supermarket use barcode as their protective of product, barcode is the easiest method, effective and can be reachable to identify and input the information into a computer as the system, beside that barcode also can guarantee the genuine and the safety of that product. Barcode is a machine code that can be read and consist of bars shape and space with two colours, they are black and white. Barcode draw in bar shape thick and thin and put as horizontal rows, the size from barcode can be small or large depends on the machine that read a barcode, the machine that will be read a barcode called barcode scanner. The way to use barcode scanner is so easy, just need a little practice.

In this era of commerce the use of barcode become absolute for the efficiency and the easy of management from factory, warehouse, distributor and supplier. Barcode is so important in commerce. In Indonesia the peoples were new in barcode, peoples knew the used of barcode since 90th century, for the first time barcode was use just for the style of magazine in Jakarta, because they didn’t know the mean of this barcode. In the middle of 2000 a lot of Indonesian peoples used barcode and know how to use it, that’s make easier the way to selling for some distributor.
